Mike Sandomirsky at Guitar Mania writes, "Future World is a powerhouse of a release delivering Artension's heaviest and most cohesive effort to date." Future World is home to some of the most intricate and progressive frameworks that the band have ever committed to disc. The interplay between Staffelbach and Kuprij is world-class whilst the vocals of John West (Royal Hunt) soar like never before. This coupled with the rock solid rhythm section of Mike Terrana and Steve DiGiorgio (Testament) make this a progressive metal super group.

Artension was the brainchild of Shrapnel Records head Mike Varney. He received a demo from wunderkind keyboardist Vitalij Kuprij and progressive axeman Roger Staffelbach of a project they called "Atlantis Rising". Varney began to look for other musicians to round out the lineup. After a lot of consideration, Varney presented Vitalij and Roger with vocalist John West, Bassist Kevin Chown, and drummer Mike Terrana. The result was a band called Artension (named by the band for a combination of the words "art" and "tension") and a CD called "Into the Eye of the Storm".

In early 2006, Voyager entered Sovereign studios to record "uniVers", with Boeijen and Dow as firm members of the band. Voyager shot a video clip to the radio edit version of the song "Sober" and released this as a limited edition single in 2006. … Throughout the entire album, those infectious melodies never cease, and they're carried predominantly by the guitar. There's a plethora of thrilling riffs in every damn song.

Strange Land are a three piece who certainly like to make a lot of noise with their cerebral progressive rock/metal … well, I said noise? Yes, but I meant it in a good way, as the Wisconsin-based band pays a lot of attention also to melody, not only to the complexity of guitar riffs

This is a freshly formed band with a birth certificate that sets the date of birth somehwere in 2007. So, in the band’s debut release you will find catchy melodies and strong chorus lines that can easily take your mind to bands like the late HELLOWEEN, Yngwie Malmsteen and maybe some early RHAPSODY (especialy due to the keyboards) and if you listen more careful you will discover some traditional Heavy Metal touches (think of RAINBOW with Joe Lynn Turner on the vocals).

Voyager's sensationally anthemic sixth opus has an amalgamation of everything the band does best - huge soundscapes, pop and prog sensibilities with catchy and thought-inducing instrumentals. The album was mixed by Matthew Templeman and mastered by Simon Strutters and maintains the production that was such a successful selling point for their album V. With a fiery red keytar, a feisty female guitarist and concerts described as "amazing chemistry blending pop with heavy, technical and progressive riffs", Voyager are consistently a live force to be reckoned with. Cerebral and emotionally striking, Ghost Mile is everything quality modern prog should be.
